PHY 610 -- Mathematical Methods of Physics II -- Fall 2016

Time and place: Tuesdays and Thursday at 2:00PM in East Hall, Room 305.

Details of the course contents and grading policy the will be disclosed and discussed during the first class period.

Textbook (will not be used a lot) G.A. Arfken and H.J. Weber, Mathematical Methods for Physicists (Sixth Edition).

The first part of the course will consist of traditional lectures, home work, and at least one exam. In addition there will be a computational project related to the material of the first part of the course. For the second part of the course, students will choose a project of their own design --stay tuned for details-- and present a report, one part in class, the other in writing.

The final grade will be based on the average of the exam and project grades.
