Minutes: Granny meeting 9/25
Following a peace vigil in downtown Westerly on 9/25, Grannies met at the Westerly Friends Meetinghouse. We
focused on doing a gig at the Friendly Arts Fair to be held at the Voluntown Peace Farm October 16 from 10 am
to 3 pm.
Grannies should arrive by 1 pm, although Jane could use help earlier. Lunch will be available. Grannies will
sing between 1:15 or 1:30 pm. The River Gods are scheduled to follow the Grannies from 1:30 or 2 pm. This is
a list of songs we plan to sing:
- Cost of War
- Radical Environmentalist
- There's a Patch in the Ocean
- Immigrants Song
- How Much Are Those Wars? (Tune of How Much is that Doggie in the Window ("Bang! Bang!," replaces "Arf
Arf") A new contribution from Peter
- Bail Out the People
- This Old Gray Granny
A November 11th teach in UConn at Avery Point for a Women Studies conference is also on the agenda. This would be
similar to the gig and teach in we did at UMass last May.
Our next regular meeting at the Friends Meetinghouse is scheduled for November 6.
